Bio:

A Kroot Shaper is the leader of a Kroot clan; they are generally the Kroot with the best ability for recognising desirable traits in defeated foes and can tell his Kindred (a Kroot clan) what to eat to suit the task at hand. Normal Shapers guide certain adaptations in some Kroot Kindred, while other Shapers work in the Shaper Council which oversees the development and guides the Kroot Kindred’s Gene Matrix.

Shapers also pay homage to the Master Shaper who is the leader of the Kroot Kindreds and holds the responsibility of allowing or rejecting certain traits into the Kindreds Gene Matrix.

For instance, a Shaper who wants his Kroot to gain muscle mass will take on campaigns against Orks to acquire the right DNA, while extensive feeding on flying predators will allow the Kroot to grow wings.

Mo’ok has become unsatisfied with the genetic material the Tau’s forces have come in contact with. While Humans are interesting genetically they aren’t that special. Astarte is nearly useless, Nids is poisonous, Orks are plentiful. Naturally they steal the dead of both sides to eat them and spread their genetic material around.

Kroot were and are employed on Fidea Prime equipped with weapons that are highly advanced but manufactured by Imperial Manufactorum. These weapons are test weapons made by the Heretek employed by a Radical Inquisitor. The Kroot are used to test the weapons created by the Mad Magos in an attempt to get real world data that won’t be traced directly back to his operation in the Fidea System.

Shaper kroot and most of his clan are currently on the Century Hawke, where they have been feeding on untouchable members of the ship’s Dark Decks.

Shaper Kroot has created a group of Assassin Kroot for the Crew, these highly evolved members of the Kroot gene clan are capable warriors.
